IRVINE, CA December 11, 2010 (Press-News.org) All-Pro Science, Inc. (APS) and its President, Tony Gonzalez, have announced that they have added Indianapolis Colts safety Jamie Silva as a member of its elite athlete endorsers group known as TEAM APS. TEAM APS includes top athletes such as NFL greats Warren Moon, Will Shields, Nate Burleson, Devin McCourty, Naufahu Tahi, Jim Leonhard, and Jason McCourty. MLB All-Star Troy Tulowitzki and LA's top yoga instructor Alanna Zabel are also among TEAM APS's notable athletes. APS athletes are not paid, but instead often approach the company themselves, to be a part of its unique and wholesome message.
Silva was a force to be reckoned with during his tenure at Boston College. He was a four-year letterman who started 38 of 50 career games for the Eagles. He totaled 312 tackles, 200 solo, as well as 15.0 tackles for losses. He also had 3.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries, and seven passes defensed. He also had an amazing 14 interceptions while playing for the Eagles. Silva was named First-Team All-America and All-ACC by Associated Press and also was First-Team All-America choice by Walter Camp Football Foundation and Sports Illustrated. He was one of three finalists for Jim Thorpe Award, given to nation's top DB. As a senior, Silva had career-high 18 tackles against Florida State in 2007.
Silva signed as free agent with the Indianapolis Colts in 2008. He became a team leader for the Colts special teams unit and was among the special teams leaders in tackles in both 2008 and 2009 . He also made a number of appearances in the post season for the Colts at safety. Silva was competing for the starting safety position when he was sidelined momentarily with an injury early in the 2010 campaign. APS is excited to have this hard-working, extreme effort safety add all-natural APS products to his regime.
"Jamie is a top performer, pure and simple," says Evan Brennan, APS Director of Athlete and Public Relations. "I've seen him play live when he was playing for Boston College and he was just a ball-hawk, and teams just had to respect him. We're excited now for the respect of his style and hard work on the field to transfer over for us with APS off the field."
Tony Gonzalez, APS President added, "Jamie is a wild man. He plays without care or respect for his body; he lays it all on the line. We want that kind of a guy to promote what we have here at APS. We want someone who knows what we do and then gives it his all. We think we've found that here with Jamie."
All-Pro Science, Inc. (APS) is a maker of the first and only all-natural nutritional supplements, including COMPLETE 100% Veggie Protein comprised of hemp, brown rice and pea protein, COMPLETE 100% Grass Fed Whey protein, COMPLETE Immune-D+ super-antioxidant containing acai and goji berries and grape seed, RECOVERY advanced sports formula and COMPLETE Relief, a liquid roll-on pain reliever.
