SAN DIEGO, CA, December 12, 2010 (Press-News.org) When Pardee Homes went online and asked home shoppers about their next move, the idea took off. Cameras started rolling...kids smiled and showed off their hockey playing skills, first-time buyers reveled in the idea of having a brand new home and newlyweds dreamt about starting a family in a home of their own.
"This was our first Facebook fan video contest and it was a success, offering up some really creative ideas," said Matt Sauls, marketing director for Pardee Homes. "We wanted to invite people to join our Facebook community and increase awareness of our LivingSmart Homes communities in the Inland Empire. The "Next Move Now' video features new homeowners and future homeowners and inspired many people to enter the contest. We congratulate all our winners and thank everyone who participated."
The grand prize of $500 went to Amanda Ruschel of Pennsylvania, who featured her three toddlers in her award-winning video. Other gift card winners included Joshua Hawker, Gail Donaldson and Roby Brown. Entrants were asked to contribute a video depicting their 'next move' and post it on Pardee Homes Facebook page between October 1st and November 7th. A panel of judges representing Pardee Homes selected the finalists, and public online voting determined the winners.
Priced from the high $100,000s, the LivingSmart Homes are brimming with a wealth of energy-saving, water-conserving, health-promoting and earth-friendly features, including a number of standard energy-efficient features such as Energy Star rated dishwashers, low-E spectrally selective glass windows, fluorescent lights in select recessed cans, dimmer switches and occupancy sensors, and radiant barrier roof sheathing. Buyers can also add such earth-friendly options as roof-integrated solar electric power systems, high- efficiency air filtration systems, tankless water heaters, WaterSmart controllers for landscape, reverse osmosis water system in the kitchen, central vacuum systems, and more.
"We've taken a different approach to homebuilding by offering an exciting array of choices in floor plan design, including both one- and two-story homes," said Sauls. "LivingSmart Homes have up to seven bedrooms, two to four baths, two and three-bay garages and approximately 1,132 to 3,099 square feet. Ingenious touches such as gourmet kitchens with slab granite and stainless steel appliances are complemented by a host of room options such as media niches, extra bedrooms, fireplaces, garage workshops, master bedroom decks and a four-bay garage in select plans."
Award-winning LivingSmart Homes are now selling in Canyon Hills in Lake Elsinore, Tournament Hills in Beaumont and Sundance in Beaumont. LivingSmart Homes were recently named Community of the Year at the SoCal Awards, which honors superior achievement of new home marketing and product design, as well as receiving the 2010 Southern California Consumers Choice Award and the Regional Consumers Choice Award for the Inland Empire.
