Fishbowl Solutions Releases Enterprise Batch Loader for Oracle Universal Content Management 11g

• Enterprise Batch Loader includes a highly configurable preprocessor that monitors a directory where third-party systems output files, such as Adobe PDF or Microsoft Word, and associated data, such as extensible markup language (.xml) or text (.txt). When these content types enter the directory, the preprocessor manipulates their data formats into a batch load file that contains the information Oracle UCM needs to perform a new check in, update the metadata for an existing content item, or delete all revisions of the content item. Once checked in, the content item can then be routed to workflow for review, rejection, or approval.

• The preprocessor can also be directly configured with third-party business systems, such as Oracle's JD Edwards and PeopleSoft applications, or Microsoft SharePoint. For these direct integrations, Enterprise Batch Loader not only monitors the directories and creates the batch load file for check in, but it also maps the metadata fields between the third-party file format and the fields existing within Oracle UCM.
