Solar Solution LLC to Provide a Power Purchase Agreement at the New Offices of the DC Department of the Environment Located at 1200 1st Street in Washington DC
2010-12-14
WASHINGTON, DC, December 14, 2010 (Press-News.org) Solar Solution LLC is proud to announce that it will provide a Power Purchase Agreement for the new offices of the DC Department of the Environment located at 1200 1st Street in Washington DC. Solar Solution LLC will provide a clean alternative source of energy for the tenants and building owners for the next 20 years through its Power Purchase Agreement program.

Solar panels installed on the roof will soon power the lighting in its hallways and stairwells and other essential areas and will run its laundry equipment. The new 60 Kw system will maximize the available space on the roof of the building which will also have a green roof incorporated into the roof structure.

"The solar photovoltaic system will help the Department of Energy and the building become less dependent on the coal-fired electric plants that serve D.C., which dump carbon and other toxins in the atmosphere on the power companies by producing its own clean alternative energy," stated Atta Kiarash, Vice President of Solar Solution.

Solar Solution Power Purchase Agreement model has allowed business owners and residences to go green without having to come out of pocket for any fees that are associated with the purchase of a solar system.

The DDOE will purchase electricity generated by the system at discounted rates for the next 20 years. After that, it will own the system and generate its own electricity at no cost, saving the tenants thousands of dollars yearly.
