ROUNDWOOD, IRELAND, December 14, 2010 (Press-News.org) We may already have bit.ly, Tiny URL and goo.gl but a new service called mrs2.be has just been launched by Irish wedding website mrs2be.ie.
The new URL shortener is a completely free service specifically branded towards the international wedding community although the company states that anybody is free to use it.
A URL shortener takes a URL such as "http://www.mrs2be.ie/wedding-articles/all-wedding-speeches-etiquette-articles.html" and shortens it to something like "http://mrs2.be/44". Popular social media networks such as Twitter impose a character limit on each message or update, so when a user wants to share a link, valuable space can be gained in the message by using the service. This leaves more room for the sender to describe the link if they wish.
Mr. Keith Malone, company director responsible for marketing and IT is hopeful that the catchy domain name which reads as "missus-to-be" will prove popular among those who share links within the wedding industry i.e. bloggers, vendors, brides and wedding marketers etc.
The new wedding URL shortener is located at http://mrs2.be and further information can be found on the mrs2.be blog here: http://mrs2.be/blog/
mrs2be.ie is Ireland's fastest growing wedding website. It contains helpful planning resources to make life easier for today's engaged brides to be. It is owned and managed by Online Bridal Directory Limited. mrs2be.ie contains a supplier directory, busy discussion forum and a growing collection of wedding planning and advice articles.
