COTSWOLDS, ENGLAND, December 15, 2010 (Press-News.org) People with Cotswold hotel bookings have until Sunday January 9th to catch Alice Through the Looking Glass in Bath.
Taking place at the city's Egg theatre, which is part of the Theatre Royal Bath, the production offers a family-friendly interpretation of Lewis Carroll's classic children's tale.
The play is recommended for youngsters aged six and above, with standard tickets priced at GBP16.50 for adults and GBP9.50 for children.
Adapted from the original story by Hattie Naylor, it features Alexis Terry in the lead role and Louise Plowright as the Red Queen.
Alice Through the Looking Glass was published in 1871 as a sequel to Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, Carroll's earlier book about a young girl's curious exploration of a fantasy world.
After stepping through a mirror on the fireplace of her home, she encounters nursery rhyme characters such as Humpty Dumpty and Tweedledum and Tweedledee, as well as the Red Queen and White Knight.
Previous Christmas productions at the Egg such as The Nutcracker and Around the World in 80 Days have proved popular with both audiences and critics, so theatre-goers can expect a memorable show once again this year.
Sunday January 9th, the final day of the production, will see performances take place at 13:00 and 17:00 GMT.
For more information on this event, visit the Theatre Royal Bath website or contact the venue on 01225 823409.
