Business continuity consultancy Steelhenge is elected onto the Business Continuity Institute Partnership Steering Group

Steelhenge Consulting is voted onto the Business Continuity Institute Partnership Steering Group for a three year term.

2010-12-16
SALISBURY, ENGLAND, December 16, 2010 (Press-News.org) Steelhenge Consulting, a leading provider of business continuity management consultancy, training and exercising, is delighted to announce that it has been voted onto the Business Continuity Institute Partnership Steering Group for a three year term. Founded in 2007, the BCI Partnership supports the objectives of the Business Continuity Institute, the world's pre-eminent business continuity body. For more information, visit http://www.steelhenge.co.uk or call 0845 094 2117.

"We're delighted to make this announcement as a greater involvement in the BCI Partnership will enable us to make a significant contribution to the business continuity management industry coalition," said Isobel Nicholas, Director of Communications for Steelhenge. "Steelhenge has an excellent relationship with the BCI, and to be elected onto the Steering Group, by both fellow business continuity practitioners and consumers of business continuity products and services, demonstrates their confidence in our ability to make a valuable contribution to the BCI Partnership at a strategic level." Isobel added; "We're also pleased because being part of the steering group underpins the fact that Steelhenge is an innovative organisation committed to promoting business continuity management practice and we have been recognised as being prepared to invest time and effort in activities that benefit the industry as a whole."

When asked what the BCI Partnership Steering Group's objectives are, Isobel replied; "The BCI Partnership works hard to promote business continuity management for the benefit of BCI members, the organisations they work for and other partners. The BCI Partnership promotes the goals of the Business Continuity Institute through lobbying at a governmental level, commissioning research to support investment in business continuity along with many other sector specific activities," Isobel explained. "One of its key roles is to raise awareness of business continuity issues and promote better understanding of business continuity management through awareness campaigns and the global Business Continuity Awareness Week. In addition, the BCI Partnership publishes thought leadership papers and runs events including workshops and conferences for networking, peer support and knowledge sharing. With such a critical role in support of the industry, we are looking forward to working with other members of the Steering Group over the next three years," Isobel concluded.
