Newest Barnsley Indian Restaurant Gives Customers The "Chop"!

Barnsley's newest Indian restaurant will be giving customers the "Chop" as it opens its doors for the first time.

HARROGATE, ENGLAND, December 17, 2010 (Press-News.org) The award-winning chefs at the Mumbai Lounge, Darfield, Barnsley are creating a unique dish that will not only celebrate its launch, but at the same time pays tribute to the town's classic "Barnsley Chop" dish.

More than GBP150,000 has been spent converting the former Station Inn, on Doncaster Road, into the Mumbai Lounge, which will be serving the very best of Bangladeshi, Indian and South Asian cuisine, including the "Joy Chop"

Mumbai Lounge owner Ahmed Ali said: "For our opening, we want to create a dish that is both very Barnsley and very Bangladeshi at the same time - hence the Joy Chop.

"Joy is the Bangladeshi word meaning celebrate, and that's exactly what we are doing to mark our opening in Barnsley. And yes, we will literally be giving our customers the chop!"
He added: "We have extensively revamped the venue to an exceptional standard, creating an exciting atmosphere to make Mumbai Lounge a superb dining experience.

"We have almost three decades experience owning and running successful restaurants in Yorkshire, but Mumbai Lounge is our first in the Barnsley area."

Mumbai Lounge, located at the former Station Inn, 128 Doncaster Road, Darfield, Barnsley opens its doors to the public on Monday, December 20, for both dine in and takeaway meals.
