FIFE, SCOTLAND, December 18, 2010 (Press-News.org) CheapBedFrames.org.uk is pleased to introduce a new range of divan beds, prices start at just GBP99. They have added 20 exclusive divan bed frames to their ever-expanding range of cheap bed frames, with over 100 styles to choose from you are sure to find one that will match your requirements.

Divan beds are amongst the most popular kind of bed in the UK today, they are available in a wide range of styles, colours and sizes. CheapBedFrames.org.uk also carries a wide selection of other beds including; leather, wooden and metal beds. With over 100 styles of bed from which to choose you are sure to find one that will satisfy all your needs.

Winter usually means large furniture sales, however VAT in the UK is set to increase to 20% from 15% on January 4th 2011. It's inevitable that shops will pass on this increase on to consumers; therefore you may just find that the bed you wanted has actually gone up in price.

VAT was decreased to 15% for 15 months after the financial crisis to help boost demand in the British economy, however with Government coffers threadbare this just isn't feasible any longer.

Company owner Lee stated "Furniture stores (ourselves included) have been a lot more careful with stock levels this year so I don't expect to see any large scale sales as we have done in previous years. There will still be bargains to be had, but don't be surprised if the cost of the bed you want has actually gone up."

The VAT increase is likely to add GBP5 for every GBP100 spent on a bed; this may not seem like a lot when you consider the average order value for beds is GBP300 but with rising heating bills and Christmas fast approaching family budgets are already stretched to the limits.

CheapBedFrames.org.uk stocks a wide variety of beds that are suitable for any purpose, whether it's a race car bed for the children or just a simple wooden bed. With a huge range of bed frames to choose from it no longer makes sense to wait until the January sales to buy a bed.

About CheapBedFrames.org.uk

Focus on Preventing Medical Errors, Not Frivolous Tort Reform

2010-12-18
The number of people who die every year in the United States from avoidable medical errors is staggering and deeply tragic. Data from the Institute of Medicine at the National Academy of Sciences puts the figure at nearly 98,000 a year. And as large as that number is, the true figure may even be higher. A national investigation conducted by Hearst Newspapers concluded that as many as 200,000 fatalities are caused by medical errors each year. The number of injuries is equally mind-boggling. Some estimates place it at over one million a year. But less than 1 in 10 of these ...

2010-12-18
In 1999, the Institute of Medicine released a study noting that medical mistakes were responsible for over 98,000 deaths and more than one million injuries each year. Since that time, hospitals have been focusing on different ways to improve patient safety. Despite efforts by hospitals to decrease the chances and rates of injuries to patients, a recent study published in the New England Journal of Medicine questions whether any progress has been made. As part of the study, 14 hospitals in North Carolina were asked to participate, with 10 of the 14 being selected for ...

Long Lines for Santa ... and the Family Court Judge

2010-12-18
Ah, the holidays, twinkling lights, trees festooned with ornaments, presents wrapped in festive bows ... and attorneys lined up at the clerk's desk filing emergency motions in family court. Okay, maybe not everyone sees that last part. Unfortunately, season's greetings often include hearing dates in the shadow of the holidays. For many, the holidays are an important time for family, especially if the family is now fractured by a divorce, or worse, in the midst of the divorce proceedings. You want to spend them with your children. Your custody and support issues should ...

With the same zeal with which he has sought to ban texting while driving, U.S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood is now pushing for a broader prohibition on the use of all electronic devices in motor vehicles. "I don't want people talking on phones, having them up to their ear or texting while they're driving," LaHood said in an interview with Bloomberg News. Since his campaign against texting behind the wheel began in 2009, 30 states have enacted such laws. In addition, federal law prohibits commercial motor carriers and federal employees from texting or e-mailing while ...
