Hair Benders Academy, School of Hair Offers Free Haircuts in Exchange for Donations for Homeless

Individuals can help the homeless and get a free haircut by donating blankets, men's jackets, sweatshirts, hats, and gloves, and new packages of socks at Hair Benders Academy, School of Hair.

MESA, AZ, December 19, 2010

Individuals can help the homeless and get a free haircut by donating blankets, men's jackets, sweatshirts, hats, and gloves, and new packages of socks at Hair Benders Academy, School of Hair, 851 E. State Road, 434, Suite 164 in Longwood, Florida.
The donations go to the Recovery House of Central Florida and will be distributed to the homeless. The campaign is expected to go through February 2011, but may extend longer depending on the weather, according to Lauren Liles, Director of the Florida cosmetology school.
"The reason we are requesting men's items such as jackets and hats is because women have more shelters to take them in to get out of the cold," said Liles. "We are excited to take part in this "Freeze Out" campaign and by offering free haircuts to individuals who donate items. It's a great way to help others and provide a little extra warmth this winter."
Hair Bender Academy, School of Hair is a sleek, 7,200 square foot school that provides students with a distinguished environment that mirrors many of the upscale salons that will employ Hair Bender students after they graduate and earn their cosmetology license.
