WHERE: Musicians Institute Concert Hall
1655 N. McCadden Place, Hollywood, CA 90028

WHAT ELSE: Stanley Clarke's 40 albums and 60 film scores have made him one of the most recognized and respected names in the annals of contemporary music, recently formed a music label, Roxboro Entertainment Group, named for his Philadelphia high school. The first two artists on the label—guitarist Lloyd Gregory and multi-instrumentalist Kennard Ramsey—have just released albums; the next two albums will come from keyboardist Sunnie Paxson and Ruslan Sirota, pianist, arranger and keyboardist on The Stanley Clarke Band.
For the past decade the Stanley Clarke Foundation has been successful in providing scholarships for young artists interested in a career in music. Clarke has always believed that talent—and not socioeconomic background—should be the principal factor in an artists chance to go on to create artistically. During these difficult economic times with substantial cutbacks in arts education, the significance of his help is especially vital. The foundation is a 501c3 organization, deductions to which are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law.

Event features open bar. Admission is free, all ages and open to the public, but donations to the Foundation are encouraged. Guests can make donations by visiting: https://co.clickandpledge.com/sp/d1/default.aspx?wid=38935
