LateRooms.com - Witches Wolves and the Wickermen at Large Near Tenby

The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park will entertain young people with tales of Witches, Wolves and the Wickermen at a special event next month.

2010-12-22
TENBY, WALES, December 22, 2010 (Press-News.org) A family storytelling event could provide the perfect excuse to take youngsters to the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park early next year.

Children heading to Witches, Wolves and the Wickermen on Monday January 3rd will be treated to a fascinating tale of Celtic enchantment at Castell Henllys, the Iron Age hill fort that lies within the park.

According to the organisers, young people can help to break the story's spell but must be vigilant, as "who knows what's lurking in the woods".

Priced at GBP2.50 plus admission, the family fun day will start at 11:30 GMT and run until roughly 13:00.

Castell Henllys is accessible by public bus service and all visitors are advised to take appropriate footwear and a waterproof jacket with them.

The park organisers also request that people phone to confirm before setting off for the event.

Covering an area of 240 square miles along the south-western shore of Wales, the national park is popular among people staying in one of the hotels Tenby has to offer for its spectacular coastline and historical sites.

Castell Henllys features a series of Celtic roundhouses that have been reconstructed on their original foundations, using archaeological evidence found in the area.

For more information on this event, visit the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park website or contact the organisers on 01239 891319.
