Redstor Set for Continued Growth in the Cloud Following a Successful 2010

- Redstor announces its success in 2010 and its cloud focus for 2011-

2010-12-23
READING, ENGLAND, December 23, 2010 (Press-News.org) Redstor, a leading managed services, cloud storage and IT solutions provider, has announced 2010 as one of its most exciting and successful years. It has continued to invest in its cloud storage strategy and the creation of a 'business grade' backup and storage grid for its end users and growing partner community.

Redstor has seen continued growth of its customer base and partner community. It now works with more than 157 companies consisting of private and public sector service providers. This has translated into sales growth of over 20% in the last 12 months and a rise in its recurring income base of over 14%.

Redstor's main driver has been the growing customer adoption of cloud based services, which evolved from Redstor's successful Cloud Backup Service for Schools (RBUSS) launched in 2005. RBUSS is now used by over 85 Local Authority and Service Providers addressing the backups of half the schools in England and Wales and with around five to ten schools signing up to the service every day.

Commenting on the momentum of the business, Tony Ruane, Business Development Director and Co-Founder of Redstor said: "We have been heavily focused on expanding our cloud storage platform over the past year in response to growing customer demand. This has driven platform growth to just under 1 Petabyte of customer data. Our main challenge for the forthcoming year will be to continue to focus on increasing our channel reach and we will be investing in new business grade services such as cloud storage and cloud Network Attached Storage (NAS) in early January to increase our business by around 25%."

He continues: "With all the concerns about whether the channel can survive in the Cloud, we have demonstrated that resellers can benefit by providing them with clear collateral, SLAs and allowing them to white label. We aim to remain partner friendly and help them develop their cloud services and repeatable income by using our platform with little capital outlay and risk to themselves."
