Second furnished model residence now open at One Thousand Ocean in Boca Raton

Featuring ocean, lake and city views, the new three-bedroom, three and one-half bath model has 3,408 square feet of air-conditioned living space and an additional 679 square feet of terraces.

2010-12-23
BOCA RATON, FL, December 23, 2010 (Press-News.org) A second furnished model residence at the iconic One Thousand Ocean oceanfront condominium was completed in December. It features inviting decor that is in keeping with the building's uniquely contemporary architecture.

Model 408 now joins model 502, which opened earlier last year. Both model residences tout stunning interiors by The Decorators Unlimited, an award-winning, Palm Beach Gardens-based interior design firm.

"The first model was so well-received that we commissioned The Decorators Unlimited for a second one," noted Jamie Telchin, LXR Luxury Resorts' president of development. "Bob Martin and his team have the experience, talent and resources to create a sophisticated yet comfortable environment that reflects the tastes and lifestyles of our prospective residents."

Featuring 3,408 square feet of air-conditioned living space and an additional 679 square feet of terraces, the new three-bedroom, three and one-half bath model showcases one bedroom as a home office. Facing north, visitors can see the Boca Raton Resort's Beach Club. This is a reminder of the convenience to One Thousand Ocean owners who already enjoy, or who elect to enjoy private member privileges at the neighboring Boca Beach Club, and at the resort's main complex just across the Intracoastal.

The private elevator landing sets the stage for the design and expands the model experience that Senior Designer Bruce Linthicum describes as "clean, casual contemporary." He further pointed out that the decor is particularly suitable for carefree ocean-to Intracoastal living.

"Because the great room and dining room areas overlook the ocean, the seating is oriented toward the east to optimize the views," Linthicum said. He selected a large sectional to anchor the seating wall, driftwood-finished shutters and a freestanding television unit mounted on a stainless steel column.

"In this model, a color palette of soft neutrals (e.g., off-white, sand and beige) and light blue accents relate to the beach and sea," Linthicum continued. "We also incorporated driftwood along with other contemporary wood and lacquer finishes on numerous custom-designed cabinets and furnishings. The upholstery is clean lined and tailored, and it varies from leathers to soft, textured fabrics. Colorful contemporary art adds spirit to the design and further complements the views."

One Thousand Ocean is situated on the tip of a private peninsula, surrounded by water on three sides: the Atlantic Ocean to the east, the Boca Raton Inlet to the south, and Lake Boca Raton to the west.

In addition to ocean, inlet, lake and city panoramas, the abundance of floor-to-ceiling glass throughout this model allows for a profusion of natural illumination. All the windows have sunshades, most of which are motorized and controlled by a Lutron system.

The Decorators Unlimited collaborated with the developer regarding many of the fine appointments in this model. "We are thrilled to be part of the team working with the developer of such a premier condominium property," said Martin, whose firm has been in business since 1985. Martin, a licensed general contractor, heads up a staff of approximately 20 designers.

One Thousand Ocean features 52 one- and two-story Beach Villas, Residences and Penthouses. They average approximately 4,000 square feet under air, plus terraces average approximately 1,200 square feet. Prices are from approximately $3 million to $15 million.

To arrange a private showing of either model, please stop by the One Thousand Ocean Sales & Design Center at 725 S. Ocean Boulevard, Monday through Friday 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Saturday & Sunday 11 a.m.-5 p.m., or by appointment.
