RICHMOND, VA, December 24, 2010 (Press-News.org) People Helping People Global (PHPG) will be hosting one of the biggest parties in Richmond, VA this New Year's Eve. The doors will open at 9pm on December 31, 2010 at Baja Bean - 1520 West Main Street - and will run until 2am. The cost of entry is $50 for purchases made before midnight on Christmas Day. Then the price goes up to $60. The cost covers a live DJ, dancing, champagne toast, beers and well drinks, and a food spread.
Last year, the group hosted a sold out crowd of 300, and they expect the same to happen this year. "It's crazy how quickly tickets are selling this year. I wouldn't be surprised if we're sold out by Christmas," Alex Tuck, President & Executive Director of PHPG, said.
"This is a great event for our organization," Isabel Gamm, VP & Program Manager of PHPG, notes. "It's amazing that we can bring in over $6,000 for our micro-lending projects in Nicaragua, and everyone has a great time in the process." In addition to the profits from ticket sales, PHPG also receives several hundred dollars in additional donations from its attendees.
To get on the list, go to the organization's event page at http://www.peoplehelpingpeopleglobal.org/nye2011. If you have any questions, you can email Alex at alex@peoplehelpingpeopleglobal.org or call (804) 859-5597.
