SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA, September 01, 2010 (Press-News.org) BookOffers - the biggest and cheapest Australian online book seller that offers the cheapest prices from the world's biggest online booksellers - has announced the release of Amazon's new Australian Kindle Version 3 and Kindle DX last July 2010 which are available online at BookOffers.

The new Kindle 3 was lighter, thinner and with a larger reading screen than the Kindle 2 it replaces, as well as offering WiFi connectivity.

The Australian Kindle 3 was available in the 6 inch size with either WiFi only or WiFi + Free 3G, while the Kindle DX is a larger 9.7 inch model that features free 3G.

With prices at AU$180 for the Kindle 3 model and AU$379 for the Kindle DX, the Kindle has proven to be the best and most popular eBook reader on the Australian market. Also, the new models have pushed the Australian market leading eBook reader to an even greater audience.

Australian buyers needed to note the following below before purchasing.

The Australian Kindle 3 is AU$180 for the WiFi only version and AU$235 for the Wi-Fi + Free 3G version plus US$20 for shipping via an international courier. The larger Kindle DX works out to approximately AU$450 including shipping.

As of August 2010, there are now over 422,000 book titles available for the Australian Kindle of all versions. BookOffers, together with Amazon and other major booksellers, is working with publishers and authors to add more to this present number.

Delivery is estimated at 3-5 days to Australian addresses. Delivery is done by international courier and is very fast, reliable and can be tracked online. Thousands of BookOffers users had their Kindles delivered and not one complaint has ever been received.

A power cable is not included. A micro USB cable is included to charge it from any computer or buy the Australian mains power adapter when buying the Kindle for an extra USD$19.99.

Books are mostly priced in US Dollars, mostly around $9.99 so make sure to convert to Aussie dollar before purchasing.

Australian customs does not charge for import duty and so far no BookOffers customers have been charged for purchasing any of the Kindles.
