The materials, which the managers prepare are really diverse. For the Support team, which is always on the front line of communication with the freelance writers, they have sets of online materials and brochures about psychological peculiarities of communication. There is a lot of psychology, dealing with live people, on the other end of the line. So they have to feel strong about what they say and do, and more importantly - they know the possible consequences of their actions and words on the person they are talking to.
For the IT department the managerial staffers prepare books and materials on computer-relevant topics. For example, one of the popular authors with the IT staff is Steve Krug. Although his books are more on usability online, but his sarcastic tone and easy-to-read books, earned a spot in the hearts of the IT specialists.
