Asylum Entertainment's New Children's Virtual World Garden Party Launches With Seasonally Themed Items

Kids Can 'Grow' Their Own Fun in Safe, Friendly Environment

2011-01-06
NEW YORK, NY, January 06, 2011 (Press-News.org) Coinciding with its official launch in the United States, Asylum Entertainment's innovative and entertaining kids virtual world, Garden Party (www.gardenpartyworld.com) is celebrating the holidays with new winter themed items. Successfully launched earlier this year in the U.K., Garden Party features an amazing virtual world where kids can chat, grow magical plants and play games in a fun, friendly and safe environment.

With the help of a customizable Garden Party avatar, kids tend to their very own garden filled with wacky plants that can grow anything from furniture to duck costumes that let you fish in the mystical Lazy Lagoon. The site keeps kids engaged for long periods of time, featuring high-quality single and multi-player games as well as moderator-led activities, regular competitions and seasonal and group events. Garden Party is free to play, and kids can sign up to a low-cost monthly subscription to get some cool in-game bonuses such as pets, special costumes, and seeds along with the ability to acquire rare special items to swap or trade with their friends.

As a special introductory offer that ends on January 10th, parents have an opportunity to get 20% off all Garden Party membership packages. Asylum Entertainment is also giving away an exclusive orange panda costume for your avatar to anyone signing up for a six-month package and for the full 12-month membership, kids get a purple panda costume to go along with the orange one, an extra room for their Tree house and an additional 100 inventory spaces that they will need to carry all of these items.

As snow begins to fall in the Garden Party World, players can get into the spirit of the season with new winter themed items and accessories. Featured items range from an Igloo Roof for the Treehouse to a Cute Polar Bear Pet, ensuring your garden will not go bare just because the weather is getting colder.

According to Simon Bailey, Managing Director at Asylum Entertainment, "Garden Party provides a truly fun and entertaining experience for kids, all in a safe environment that makes it especially appealing to parents. It's all about allowing kids to be creative and expressive, while supporting an underlying message of the fun, importance and magic of nature." He adds, "Additionally, we believe Garden Party provides kids with rich content, is more immersive that other virtual worlds, and really offers a very positive social experience."

In October, Garden Party won a National Parenting Publication (NAPPA) honors award.
