Kevin Buckley Builders and Steven Foster Designs Announce the Completion of Their Latest Mid-Century Modern Home Renovation in Atlanta
2011-01-07
ALPHARETTA, GA, January 07, 2011 (Press-News.org) Two Atlanta based companies; Kevin Buckley Builders and architectural designers Steven Foster Designs announce the completion of a home renovation in Atlanta's Briarcliff community. The two groups worked in partnership to complete the total transformation of a traditional 1960's brick ranch home into a unique Mid-Century Modern inspired masterpiece. The team used cutting edge building and design techniques to create the homes new contemporary look.

"Mid-Century Modern homes incorporate simpler elements than a traditional home and maintain a less formal feel," explains Kevin Buckley, owner of the Atlanta home remodeling and building firm. Buckley continues on to share, "While we often get requests for traditional style designs, contemporary remodels are becoming increasingly more popular in the Atlanta market." Traditional elements of a Mid-Century Modern home include open floor plans, bright natural lighting, uncluttered living spaces, and simple, clean lines.

The newly renovated Mid-Century Modern home Buckley and Foster recently completed in Briarcliff was a yearlong project. The property's updated look included a new front exterior designed from Hardy Panel, a new offset gable roofline, contemporary fixtures, high ceilings, and an open floor plan. The Atlanta home builder and Atlanta architect were able to incorporate a 26 foot Lite Steel Beam to create a flat ceiling surface that also eliminated the need for beams or support posts.

"Style was paramount to the home owner and she didn't want anything to stand in the way," says Steven Foster. "We worked with the client to refine her vision and design a home that would exceed expectations. " Foster is known for having a talent for extracting the customers' wishes. He can determine the specifics of what the client would like done on their project and put the ideas to paper.

The companies' owners, Kevin Buckley and Steven Foster, have been successfully working together for the past three years. They believe that having an architect and builder working together on the project from the beginning of the process allows for a more seamless delivery.
