Ariel Laboratories Introduces Glycolic/Salicylic Skincare System: Products Work Together to Combat Acne and Hyperpigmentation, Promote Skin Rejuvenation

Ariel Laboratories, a custom product development laboratory headquartered in South Plainfield, NJ, is pleased to announce the formulation of a complete line of glycolic/salicylic acid skin care products, which target acne-prone skin, aging skin and hyper-pigmentation conditions and promote skin rejuvenation.

2011-01-07
SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ, January 07, 2011 (Press-News.org) Ariel Laboratories, a custom product development laboratory headquartered in South Plainfield, NJ, is pleased to announce the formulation of a complete line of glycolic/salicylic acid skin care products, which target acne-prone skin, aging skin and hyper-pigmentation conditions and promote skin rejuvenation.

According to Peter Bohm, president and CEO of Ariel Laboratories, "Glycolic is a natural fruit acid or alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA), derived from sugar cane. It works as a highly effective exfoliant to slough off dead skin, which results in a more youthful glow and minimizes the appearance of fine lines. When combined with salicylic acid, glycolic also combats acne and when we add our non-kojic and non-hydroquinone whitening compounds, they become very effective in reducing skin blotching caused by hyperpigmentation. Skin care continues to be a 'hot category' as people are always looking for new ways to beautify themselves. The line we have created is a complete regimen that is capable of tackling several vexing skin care problems at the same time, with superior results."

Ariel Labs 10% active glycolic skincare system consists of a cream exfoliant; an acne control wash with salicylic acid; a facial scrub that contains aluminum oxide, a non-abrasive ingredient commonly used in dermabrasion; and hydrolite, a non-hydroquinone product with skin-lightening properties that helps skin achieve an "alabaster" look, inhibits formation of melanin, and evens skin tone. These products can be used in the home, either individually or as part of a complete skin care regimen.

Use of AHA exfoliants, such as glycolic, not only benefits skin in the short-term, but in long- term usage as well. In addition to sloughing off the top layer of dead skin that can make skin appear lackluster, aged and wrinkled, AHA usage results in a faster skin renewal rate, increased skin barrier function and improved collagen production, with minimal risk to the healthy skin cells that lie below the top layer. Exfoliation also allows skin oils to flow more freely, helping to reduce the presence of pimples and blackheads that occur when dead skin cells clog pores.

Bohm commented, "This line was inspired by a plastic surgeon who came to Ariel Labs with the idea of creating a glycolic skin care system. Glycolic is a powerful but safe acid that doesn't produce any significant side effects. It's our intention to market the 10% glycolic formulations to plastic surgeons, dermatologists, aestheticians, and other healthcare professionals and to have a reduced glycolic percentage line available for a brand to market directly to consumers."

Ariel Laboratories has the ability to custom brand packaging for their glycolic acid products, which can be made available in relatively small minimum order quantities.
