2010 Inc. 5000 List Recognizes Verndale for Fourth Consecutive Year

Verndale named to prestigious 2010 Inc. 5000 list of America's fastest-growing companies

BOSTON, MA, September 02, 2010

Inc. magazine named Verndale, a leading mid-market web technology and consulting firm, as the nation's 2,284 fastest-growing private company, moving up 180 spots from last year on the 2010 Inc. 5000 list. The award recognizes Verndale's ability to generate robust revenue while managing a growing business and developing successful business strategies. This is the fourth consecutive year that Verndale has been recognized in the Inc. 5000.

Verndale ranked on the Inc. 5000 list based on information gathered and assessed by Inc. magazine researchers that detailed the company's percentage revenue growth from 2006-2009. Introduced in 1982, the Inc. 5000 is an expansion of the Inc. 500. Verndale will be acknowledged at the 2010 Inc. 500|5000 Conference and Awards Ceremony Sept. 30 - Oct. 2 in Washington, D.C.

"We are honored to be recognized among the nation's elite private companies," said Joe Zarrett, President of Verndale. "Verndale's growth is directly attributable to the talent and commitment of our team and the growing list of clients that entrust us with their business."

"The leaders of the companies on this year's Inc. 5000 have figured out how to grow their businesses during the longest recession since the Great Depression," said Inc. president Bob LaPointe. "The 2010 Inc. 5000 showcases a particularly hardy group of entrepreneurs."

The 2010 Inc. 5000 serves as a unique report card on the U.S. economy. Despite the ongoing recession, aggregate revenue among the companies on the list actually increased to $321.8 billion, over a 50% increase from last year, with a median three-year growth rate of 96 percent. This year's Inc. 5000 companies are responsible for creating more than 1.4 million jobs, up from 1 million last year - making the list perhaps the best example of the impact that private, fast-growing companies can have on the economy. Complete results of the Inc. 5000, including company profiles and an interactive database that can be sorted by industry, region, and other criteria, can be found on Inc.com.
