LateRooms.com - Rock Out with Accept in Munich

Accept will bring their brand of classic heavy metal to the Tonhalle in Munich on February 10th.

2011-01-08
MUNICH, GERMANY, January 08, 2011 (Press-News.org) Heavy metal legends Accept are heading to Munich for a night of head-banging action next month.

Originally formed in the 1970s, the German group have gone through several periods of inactivity and subsequent reformations.

They reunited once more in 2009 and last year released their 12th studio album Blood of the Nations, which has been hailed by members of the band as their finest work to date.

Accept, who embark on their European tour on January 15th 2011, are due to arrive at Munich's Tonhalle venue on Thursday February 10th.

Fans will no doubt be looking forward to seeing the group's latest line-up on stage, as newcomer Mark Tornillo replaced Udo Dirkschneider on vocals before Blood of the Nations was released.

In a recent interview with the Highwire Daze website, Accept guitarist Wolf Hoffmann described the band's new singer as "phenomenal" and said he has already been accepted by their devoted followers.

On the subject of the latest album, he commented: "I think maybe it's the best we've ever done.

"It's up to the fans to decide that in the end and time will tell."

As well as songs from the new release, fans staying in Munich hotels may be hoping to hear some classics from the Accept back catalogue such as Balls to the Wall.

Released in 1984, the song appeared on the soundtrack to 2008 film The Wrestler and featured in popular video game Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories.

Tickets for the Tonhalle concert are priced at EUR31.15 (GBP26.30). Doors will open at 19:00 local time and the music is due to begin at 20:00.

For more information on this event, visit the Tonhalle website or contact the venue on (+49) 089 628344 11.
