WebCron Site Backup is a high-performance, open source, incremental backup tool for websites. WebCron Site Backup is a unique tool that securely backs up both files and MySQL databases and optionally generates and e-mails a report of changes made since the last backup. WebCron Site Backup can easily handle backups of large websites with millions of database rows and hundreds of thousands of files.
WebCron Site Backup is highly configurable and meets a wide variety of enterprise-class needs: Easily integrates with any website, including those utilizing a content management system (CMS). Incremental updates for both files and MySQL databases. Host-based intrusion detection via generated e-mail reports can be used for early warning that hackers have entered a system or to detect files have been changed by someone without notifying the rest of the team.
This tool makes it possible for website operators to easily create regular, automated backups of website content with a high degree of security and reliability. The initial backup takes a while depending on the site of the website, but after the initial backup, only the things that have changed since the previous backup are transferred - typically taking a fraction of the time and bandwidth of the initial backup.
WebCron Site Backup is an open source product. It is dual-licensed under both the MIT and LGPL licenses and is therefore free for both personal and commercial use. Financial donations to the project go toward future development.
