NEW YORK, NY, January 11, 2011 (Press-News.org) Chelsea's Agora Gallery will feature Canadian artist, John David Hart, in Elemental Realms. The exhibition is scheduled to run from January 11, 2011 through February 1, 2011 (opening reception: Thursday, January 13, 2011).
Canadian artist John David Hart pushes the limits of painting in his bold, passionate explorations of color and form. His modernist translations bring together multiple subjects in unexpected configurations. The entire illusionary effect is blended with color, which works to fuse discordant elements into striking visions of harmony and balance. Although abstract form lays the foundation of the overall composition, his subject matter is brought to life within the arenas of representational space, surrealism, and free-flowing Impressionistic form. Each piece is uniquely composed, casting a sometimes primitivist, other times nostalgic feel to whatever the chosen subject may be. Also a renowned sculptor, Hart pursues his own unique approach to creating original works of art. The view can sense a visceral energy coursing through each canvas, in the striking flow of line, texture and color, and the bold dynamics of form and expression that dominate each piece. Hart has truly created a Dream Art whose manifestations and interpretations are virtually limitless, allowing us to see the world in entirely new ways.
An artist, musician and radio/television personality, John David Hart is well known for his charity works, which currently involve two projects for President Obama's office.
