Posh Used A Special Diet To Conceive A Baby Girl This Time Around?
Except you've been living under the rock, you have probably already heard that Victoria Beckham is pregnant with her forth baby. You may not know, however, how - having a house full of boys - determined she was to have a baby girl this time!
LONDON, ENGLAND, January 12, 2011
Somewhat unexpected, Victoria and David Beckham are expecting their forth baby!Ex Posh Spice and a successful fashion designer of late, and her footballer superstar husband David, announced they're pregnant - again!
Their representative told the People magazine that David and Victoria Beckham are delighted to confirm they are expecting their fourth child in the summer.
It was not a secret however that Beckhams - while admitting to have a full house - were willing to expand their home team. As Victoria (36) has said once: "It's s a lot having three boys... But who knows, one day?"
Well, it seems that day has come. The new addition to the family will join three big brothers: Brooklyn (11), Romeo (8), and 5 years old Cruz.
Again, it's not a secret at all that they'd want to have a baby girl this time.
David (35) said last year about his dream of having a daughter: "I really want more kids and I hope it happens soon. I want a little girl. That would be amazing." Vic also admitted that she would never say never to another baby - no matter her chances for a baby girl even slimmer than she is: "Maybe one day another baby, but at this stage I think the chances of a girl are quite slim."
Maybe because she was too slim, too?
Earlier last year, the British tabloid Sun speculated that Victoria's stick-thin figure had to change in order for her three boys to get a baby sister. Skinny Victoria was allegedly on a too strict of a diet to get pregnant.
As a doctor told for the tabloid, women which are underweight - like Victoria was - may not ovulate, so they have trouble conceiving. A star - who is known to maintain her slender figure by eating only fresh fruit and vegetables and steamed fish - has indeed admitted once living on sugarsnap peas, carrots and spinach.
She's been told by her doctors that such a strict diet, though healthy, would not give her the best chance of conceiving, and the lucky woman was advised to eat more carbs and fatten up. Interestingly, the Sun's Doctor speculated that, as the Beckhams are keen to have a girl, Victoria may be influenced by advice to eat more dairy, nuts and shellfish and to avoid meat.
Maybe the notion that mother's diet influences her baby's gender is more than a myth: http://how-to-conceive-girl.blogspot.com/2010/07/diet-influences-baby-gender.html.
She has often hinted at her desire for a daughter. In one interview she said that should could imagine "painting her nails, putting on make-up, and choosing clothes" with her.
She turned particularly broody after her sister Louise became pregnant and is now expecting a daughter.
A family friend had confirmed that it's no secret that Victoria and David want a little girl now more than ever.
Last year, rumors about Victoria being so desperate for a baby girl that she went on a special girl diet to conceive started circulating. Girl diet? Yes, it exists: http://how-to-conceive-girl.blogspot.com/2010/01/conceive-girl-diet.html but has it worked?
Will this long for longed baby be a girl at last?
Close friends say the couple do not want to know the gender of the child before it is born.
