TROY, MI, January 15, 2011 (Press-News.org) The Sensor Connection (www.thesensorconnection.net) has developed a compact Radiator Core and Tube Surface Thermocouple for use in R&D testing of heat exchangers, automotive & industrial radiators, HVAC compressors, and other surface temperature test applications requiring a small sensor footprint.
This fast response, Type J thermocouple has an operating temperature range of -50°F to 350°F (-45°C to 175°C) and an accuracy reading of +/- 0.4%. The miniature copper sensing pad of the Radiator Core and Tube Surface Thermocouple measures just 0.08" X 0.09" with a thickness of 0.03" thick (2.1mm x 2.4mm X 0.8mm) and can be attached to most any surface using an application-appropriate commercial bonding adhesive. No fasteners are required. A solid core 30 AWG Teflon insulated signal wire is supplied in lengths from 5 to 100 feet.
Typical temperature measurement applications of the Radiator Core and Tube Surface Thermocouple include:
• Liquid cooled radiator assemblies such as tubes, tanks and fins
• Heat exchanger elements
• HVAC compressors and condensers
• Semiconductor components
• Solar Panels
Made in the USA, the Radiator Core and Tube Surface Thermocouple delivers the highest performance, reliability and consistency in the most extreme operating conditions. These temperature sensors are suitable for research and development, test labs, manufacturing engineering and production environments. Units can be customized for OEM applications.
For more information on the Radiator Tube and Core Surface Thermocouple, contact Harold Schaevitz at harolds@thesensorconnection.com or go to The Sensor Connection web site at: http://www.thesensorconnection.net/thermocouples/all-thermocouples/radiator-core-tube-surface-temperature-thermocouple-copper-pad. Units can be purchased directly online from the web site.
