SUSSEX, ENGLAND, January 16, 2011 (Press-News.org) 1st for French Property ( http://www.1st-for-french-property.co.uk ) continues to expand its partner network across France. The latest partner is Europ'Immobilier. Europ'Immobilier has been marketing property in the Charente for 10 years and is comprised of 4 agencies spread across the area. With their wide range of properties available and English speaking member of staff at all of their offices, it is easy to understand how they have built up an excellent reputation.

The two main offices are in Chalais and Villebois-Lavalette

Chalais:
The main market town of the area (with a population of approximately 2000) benefiting from all services and facilities, Chalais is found in the south of the Charente in a particularly beautiful area with rolling countryside interspersed with woodland, vineyards and sunflowers in the summer season. It is situated at a 'cross-roads' of departments bordering the Charente-Maritime, the Dordogne and the Gironde. Chalais has kept many of its traditions including the Monday morning 'foire' (market) where you can find a huge range of local produce from cheese to locally produced pineau. Originally a principality, Chalais is also renowned for the Talleyrand-Perigord family, and is still dominated by the Chateau that overlooks the town.

Villebois-Lavalette:
On the edge of the Perigord, Villebois-Lavalette is an incredibly beautiful and charming village steeped in history and tradition. It sits on the top of a hill guarded by the very imposing medieval chateau. Situated just 20 km south east of Angouleme, Villebois-Lavalette is a dynamic town that is incredibly popular to both locals and tourists. It has a full range of services and facilities and every Saturday morning hosts the local farmers market under the eaves of the open market hall.
