HOLLAND, MI, January 16, 2011 (Press-News.org) Mark K. Harder, a partner with Warner Norcross & Judd LLP, has been appointed to the State Laws Committee of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel.
Harder, who concentrates his practices in trusts and estates law, will serve his fourth one-year term on the committee. He was elected to ACTEC in 2006. ACTEC membership and appointment is by invitation only to experienced trusts and estates attorneys recognized as having made substantial contributions to the field through lecturing, writing and Bar activities.
Active personally and professionally, Harder is a member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Wisconsin and the State Bar of Michigan, where he serves as chair for the Michigan Trust Code Committee and vice chair for the Council of the Probate and Estate Planning Section. He is treasurer of Attorneys for Family Held Enterprises and a past board member.
Harder was named the 2010 Lawyer of the Year for Trusts and Estates in the Grand Rapids area by Best Lawyers in America. He has been recognized in Best Lawyers since 2005. He has also been named a Michigan Super Lawyer and a Top Lawyer by dBusiness.
Harder has held leadership and board positions with numerous organizations, including the Holland Area Chamber of Commerce and the Center for Women in Transition.
