Echelon Magazine To Launch Digital/Mobile Gay Business Directory

The publication serving LGBT business professionals jumps on the high-tech train to promote Gay-owned and Gay-friendly businesses.

LOS ANGELES, CA, September 03, 2010

Echelon Magazine (http://www.echelonmagazine.com), the premier media resource for LGBT business professionals announces a state of the art directory to list LGBT-owned and LGBT-friendly companies in a format that reaches both online and mobile customers.

After launching the bi-monthly publication in digital format in June 2010, the company has identified a low-cost solution for businesses within this niche market to expand their marketing efforts by connecting with iPad and iPhone users. The innovative new media source is set to publish the digital directory in January followed by an associated app that will be available in the iTunes store in February 2011.

"Media is in a constant state of change these days," stated Michael Lamb, publisher of Echelon Magazine. "It is a strategic imperative for all small business and corporate marketers to stay in step with the latest technology."

Echelon's 2011 Gay Business Directory will incorporate a host of advertising media options that include videos, widgets and flash ads that enhance the readers experience into a more alive and interactive resource.

Business listings will include a photo or logo along with social media sharing icons that directly connect readers to a company's site or fan page. Echelon has created a wonderfully affordable vehicle for businesses to both connect with the Gay market and break out from the confines of the web.

The new iPhone app, "Go Gay Biz" is being designed utilizing GPS technology. It will allow the user to locate Gay-owned and Gay-friendly businesses on the go. Companies that list their business in the Echelon 2011 Gay Business Directory will automatically be included in the "Go Gay Biz" app for a low flat annual rate initially. After the projected success of the first year, listings will be renewed on a monthly payment plan.

"The Go Gay Biz app will be obviously beneficial to Gay Business Travelers," stated Lamb. "However, our new app will also allow the user to locate Gay-owned lawyers, real estate professionals, business services and more."
