VANCOUVER, BC, January 17, 2011

New Hockey Recruiting and Hockey Scouting site Perfect Tool for Deserving but Frustrated Hockey Players.

The following is a list of names that have something in common. Dan Cleary, Devan Dubnyk, Mike Green, David Bolland, Evander Kane, Dustin Boyd, Eric Fehr, Stefan Meyer, Jason LaBarbera. All of these players have been cut by their country's World Jr Teams, and, all of them play in the NHL. The list is much larger of course but these are some of the current NHL players who were at one time considered not good enough for their World Jr rosters. "When Logan Couture didn't make the (Canadian) World Junior team, he used that as a motivator," San Jose Sharks GM Doug Wilson said. "He dominated the AHL. He's a young player that has earned his ice time."

Getting cut by the World Jr Team is not a path to the NHL, nor is making the World Jr Team. But as the 2011 World Jr Tourney recently ended in Buffalo, NY, it is fitting to ponder the many ways hockey's pundits keep telling us how hockey players make it to the NHL yet none can agree on any one route.

How critical is the determination and compete level of a player? How many times does the player pick himself, or herself, up from the ice after being knocked down, or, after being cut from a team?

A case in point is the Vancouver Canuck's rising star, Ryan Kesler. Kesler, the American-born Michigan native, is coming into his own after re-inventing his pro game from grinder and checker to both scoring threat and shut down forward. Kesler, who was cut by virtually every Midget AAA team he tried out for as a kid, is currently hockey's poster-boy for intensity and a willingness to learn and change parts of his game to play the game he clearly loves.

PuckProspect.com wasn't available for Kesler while he was a young hockey player but it is the newest online Hockey Scouting and Hockey Recruiting Service for those hockey players who have the same determination to 'Get Noticed'! Forget the naysayers and take control of your hockey future today!
