DUBAI, UAE, January 20, 2011 (Press-News.org) Thousands of members of the food, drink and hospitality sectors will be heading to Dubai towards the end of next month for the 2011 Gulfood expo.

Set to take place between February 27th and March 2nd at the Dubai World Trade Centre, it is described by its organisers as "the most eagerly anticipated event in the calendar".

Attendees will get to see the star chefs of the future showing off their passion and skills by cooking up some delicious dishes, while the latest trends and tips from high-profile industry figures will be revealed at the Gulfood Conference.

The star performers from the sector will also get their time in the limelight thanks to the Gulfood Awards.

This packed line-up is sure to sound appealing to a wide array of people working in the food and beverage trades, with demand for tickets expected to be high.

According to the organisers, some 3,500 exhibitors will be present at the expo, while 55,000 buyers from 152 countries are also due to attend.

With such a high level of interest, prospective visitors should book Dubai hotels and tickets as soon as possible, with four-day passes available for 150 UAE dirhams (GBP26).

Proceedings will run from 11:00 to 19:00 local time from February 27th to March 1st and between 11:00 and 17:00 on the final day.
