La Jolla Cosmetic Laser Clinic Head Nasrin Mani, M.D., Named 2011 Health Hero

LA JOLLA, CA, January 21, 2011 (Press-News.org) Nasrin Mani, M.D., well-known laser surgeon and cosmetic physician in La Jolla, received notification of her selection as Health Hero for 2011 by the American Melanoma Foundation. Honorees are recognized for the contributions they have made to the local health industry through their community activism.

Dr. Mani is a very active community supporter both in health and the arts. She is the medical director of La Jolla Cosmetic Laser Clinic, one of the most active laser and cosmetic procedure practices in the area.

As a laser surgeon and cosmetic practitioner, Dr. Mani's roles include aesthetic as well as the medical treatment of the skin. Recent developments in laser technology have brought into focus the ability of lasers to target and greatly resolve the issues of Actinic Keratosis - often referred to as pre-cancers.

Helping patient become more aware of their skin conditions and potential skin health issues is a focal point of the practice.
