Interstate Container Cambridge to Exhibit at International Poultry Expo 2011

Interstate Container Cambridge will exhibit at the International Poultry Expo 2011 in Hall B, Booth 5960. The world's largest poultry and egg exhibition will take place from 26 - 28 January 2011 at Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia.

2011-01-21
CAMBRIDGE, MA, January 21, 2011 (Press-News.org) Interstate Container Cambridge will exhibit at the International Poultry Expo 2011 in Hall B, Booth 5960. The world's largest poultry and egg exhibition will take place from 26 - 28 January 2011 at Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia.

Interstate Container Cambridge is a member of Interstate Resources Container Division and a member of INDEVCO Group. The corrugated manufacturer developed innovative GREENCOAT wax alternative corrugated boxes for poultry packers, as well as producers of seafood, fresh produce and flowers.

GREENCOAT wax replacement boxes can be recycled, composted, and re-pulped. These sustainable, wax alternative cartons have the strength and durability of wax-coated packaging without the carbon footprint.

Pete Bugas, Interstate Container Cambridge General Manager, states,

"The development of our recyclable poultry package, GREENCOAT , which is solely designed to replace wax boxes, has been enormously successful. It is successful because of its un-matched performance in our customer's very wet processing plants and, ultimately, at the end-user.

It is successful because that end-user can now recycle this box for income instead of spending money to send it to a landfill where wax boxes must go. And it is successful because it is cost-neutral alternative to wax boxes. The International Poultry Expo allows us to show companies from around the world how successful they can be by switching out of their traditional wax boxes and into our GREENCOAT boxes. It is the right thing to do on so many levels."

International Poultry Expo 2011 will exhibit services, equipment, supplies, and technology related to the production and processing of chicken broilers, turkeys, ducks, eggs, and breeding stock.

The 3-day exhibition is the 63rd edition of its kind, bringing together members from all segments of the poultry production and processing industry. The show is an annual event of the U.S. Poultry & Egg Association.

GREENCOAT Wax Alternative Cartons

GREENCOAT wax-replacement boxes are the result of a collaborative effort between Interstate Container Cambridge and leading poultry processor, Mountaire Farms.

GREENCOAT corrugated boxes have streamlined Mountaire Farm's supply chain, lowered costs, and reduced an estimated 100,000 tons of greenhouse gases for Mountaire Farms.

GREENCOAT wax alternative is 100% recyclable, repulpable, and compostable and meets the performance of waxed boxes. The wax replacement box provides proven moist condition tolerance and saves customers disposal fees.

Furthermore, Global Green USA, a non-profit organization committed to making positive changes to foster global climate improvement, recognized the development of GREENCOAT at the 11th annual Sustainable Design Awards, on 6 December 2010.
