Thackerays Data-Stream Developed Website Named E-commerce Site of the Year
The website and online shop of fashion retailer, Thackerays, developed using Data Graphic Services' unique web solution 'Data-Stream', has beaten off international competition to be named 'Site of the Year' by Kentico Software.

Data-Stream, a portal for integration with the Cybertill electronic point-of-sale (EPoS) system, which provides live stock control for the fashion retailer's internet sales across its six high street stores, gained recognition as 'Site of the Year 2010' in Kentico Software's e-commerce category.Established in 2009 by former Cybertill account manager, Les Girvan, Data-Stream is a web solution that allows clients to extend the functionality of their e-commerce websites, and include features such as newsletter production, marketing, integration with social media tools, company intranet provision, and product synchronisation & stock control.
Les Girvan, owner of Data Graphic Services and creator of Data-Stream, said: "During my time as an account manager at Cybertill, many of my clients asked how they could increase the functionality of their existing shopping cart facility.
"I developed Data-Stream to provide a simple one-stop solution to the Cybertill EPoS SOAP services module. It is a plug-in solution which adds extensive website capabilities to the standard Cybertill web cart."
David Goss, Head of Internet Sales at Thackerays, selected Data-Stream to assist the company in developing a website that was scalable for future expansion plans, yet simple enough for content editors to work with.

The annual competition, which seeks out the best Kentico CMS website implementations, commended Thackerys on its easy-to-use interface and attractive design.
