2011 Rochester Boat Show Cruises into Town Feb. 3-6

29th Annual Event set for Riverside Convention Center

2011-01-27
ROCHESTER, NY, January 27, 2011 (Press-News.org) Get set to chart your course to Riverside Convention Center February 3, 4, 5 and 6 when the 29th Annual Rochester Boat Show drops anchor for the boating sales event of the season. This grand event showcases area boat dealers and manufacturers, the latest in fishing supplies, and great accessories, too. Hours are 11 am to 9 pm on Thursday and Friday; 10 am to 9 pm Saturday; and 10 am to 5 pm Sunday.

This four-day event offers a great way to see and compare all available makes and models in one location. Two levels of the convention center will display boats from large to small ... millions of dollars of boating inventory all under one roof. Take advantage of competitive prices and exclusive show specials while getting a first look at the newest models.
Admission is $5 per adult ($4 for seniors), and children under 12 get in free!

If you're looking for a boat, don't wait till summer. According to a recent article in the New York Times, the best time to purchase is in January or February, during boat shows where you can compare brands side by side and where special show pricing applies. Already own a boat? The Rochester Boat show is the perfect place to outfit your boat with a new sound system, troll motor, GPS, fishing or wake-boarding tower, or maybe just a new lifejacket.

Part of the proceeds from every boat sold at the Rochester Boat Show will be donated to Camp Good Days, which has provided camping experiences free of charge since 1979 to kids suffering from cancer.

Activities at the show include wine tasting with Fox Run Winery from 5:30 - 8 pm Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and daily giveaways, drawings and special events at most of the dealerships with items on display. Plus you'll have a chance to enter to win a brand-new full-size pickup truck!

On Sunday enjoy a Super Boat Party with free pizza from Guida's Pizzeria at the main entrance with the Rochester area Ford Dealers' "Official Tow Vehicle." And throughout the weekend, kids will enjoy the clowns and free face painting.

No less than 13 boat dealers will be on hand to show you and your family the latest in boating trends and offer great deals and incentives to jump-start your 2011 boating season. The selection of boats will be incredible, including sport boats, cruisers, fishing boats, pontoons, deck boats, performance boats, personal watercraft, ski boats and jet boats. Also on display will be docks, hoists, outboard motors, canoes, kayaks, sunfish and laser boats. For a complete rundown of the myriad manufacturers represented, go to the show's website: http://www.rochesterboatshow.com.

In addition to the dealers' 'show-only' promotional prices, financing specialists will be on hand to help you get into the boat of your dreams. It's also a great opportunity to get top-dollar for your trade!

The Riverside Convention Center is conveniently located in the heart of downtown Rochester at 123 E. Main Street. For directions, call 585-232-7200.

For additional information about the show and what will be on display, contact David Heimes, 585-770-4269, or go online to http://www.rochesterboatshow.com.
