Ken Wright, President of Beta LaserMike, Discusses the Advantages of Logistics in Emerging Markets with Manufacturing Digital

In an interview with Manufacturing Digital, Ken Wright, President of Beta LaserMike, talks about the logistics of his high tech company.

"There are three areas we're emphasizing for growth for the future," says Wright in the article. "One is the emerging markets. We've been maintaining about a 25 percent growth rate in China over the last few years, we just opened an office in India in the Delhi area, we've also grown our sales in Latin America by eight fold over the last seven or eight years. The other area involves taking the laser beam product to a lot of markets where it hasn't been sold before. And the third direction of growth is looking at how we can add value to our customers through the provision of different types of services."

Beta LaserMike's parent company has an active program which is called its Sustainability Initiative. Not only does it apply to sustainability, but it also applies to situations such as working conditions of employees for their suppliers if they're located in some of the emerging economies, where they are expected to validate that they are working in conditions people would consider acceptable.
