SAN FRANCISCO, CA, January 31, 2011 (Press-News.org) The phone rang, indicating that the call was from the United Nations office. Composer Brenda M Lane [ASCAP] concluding that the call must have been in error didn't answer. But the second time that the phone rang indicating it was coming from the United Nations she felt compelled to pick it up. On the other end was Rick Hendrix, Good Will Ambassador to the United Nations and also one of our nation's greatest music promoters.
Rick had been emailed by friend Archie Jordan, a platinum songwriter, who enthusiastically urged Rick to check out a new recording artist, Lila Cervantes; and her songwriter, Brenda M Lane. After listening to some of the music, Rick responded with WOW! And asked how he could get in contact. Archie Jordan negotiated the contact and within a day the phone was ringing at the California office of Lane & Associated Enterprises.
The story got even better. The composer, Brenda Lane, had been writing songs in a small house in the mountains above Napa Valley 10 years earlier. She had prayed earnestly for a vocalist who would be able to sing this new genre of music, able to reach the octaves it demanded. No answer. Fast Forward 10 Years...
Brenda had moved away from her little house and had gone on with her life; later returning to the area. A mutual friend introduced her to Lila Cervantes, a vocalist. As soon as Lila began to sing, tears sprung into Brenda's eyes; she had finally found her vocalist. And the work began! In time, Brenda decided to visit at Lila's home. As she drove into the driveway shivers ran down her spine. No Way! Lila was now living in the EXACT house where Brenda had been writing songs, and had prayed for a vocalist. Lila was just as surprised as she had been in that same little house praying for a composer. Those two prayers met ...and the rest will become history!
The Rick Hendrix Company enthusiastically negotiated a deal to promote No Name Like the Name of Jesus - a song from Lila's debut CD - I Can See. Hear it at www.laneprojects.com.
Lane & Associated Enterprises is a music production company. If you'd like more information about this topic, or to schedule an interview with Lila Cervantes, please call 707-965-9461 or email: laneassoc@surewest.net. To hear samples visit http://www.laneprojects.com

The driver, his wife and five members of the Bluffton team were killed, and many others suffered serious injuries in the sudden and violent motor vehicle accident.
