BRENTWOOD, TN, January 31, 2011 (Press-News.org) In 2000, Tamara Mariea opened wellness clinic Internal Balance Incorporated. Since its opening, Internal Balance has seen exponential growth. Now, Tamara Mariea is excited to announce major expansions in healthcare that will bring hope and relief for many clients. "Since our inception in 2000," said founder and director Tamara Mariea, "Internal Balance has worked to create a faith-based atmosphere where the human body is assisted and supported in doing what it was originally created to do-heal itself." Currently, according to Tamara Mariea, Internal Balance has expanded services to include massage therapy, which advances its passion and mission of supporting client's detoxification nutritionally. According to Tamara Mariea, massage therapy can accomplish many things, including the reduction of stress, increased circulation of oxygen and nutrients to the muscles, and increased joint flexibility. "As one of the oldest healing arts," added Tamara Mariea, "millions of individuals can attest to the power of massage therapy."
Tamara Mariea is excited to welcome massage therapist Cherrie Lefevers to Internal Balance." Cherrie brings a wealth of knowledge and nine years of experience that helps many clients. She arrived at an integral time in our growing practice," said Tamara Mariea. Cherrie draws on her knowledge of the skeletomuscular system, the nervous system, and the lymphatic system to formulate treatments that provide surprising results, such as a natural face-lift, sinus and allergy relief, back pain relief, and pure relaxation. Cherrie is certified as a Medical Massage Practitioner (MMD) and specializes in Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD). MLD will manually move toxins out of your body faster. Cherrie attended the world-renowned Dr. Vodder School and is Vodder-Certified MLD/CDT. Danish Physicians Dr. Emil Vodder and his wife Dr. Estrid Vodder were the first to study the lymphatic system in the 1930s. In 1936, the Vodders introduced their groundbreaking scientific method of lymphatic massage to the world in Paris. Only 1,000 Vodder-certified therapists exist in the entire continent of North America.
Tamara Mariea described another new modality that Internal Balance offers. "With the addition of Annie Waugh to our team, we are now able to provide the Neurostructural Integration Technique (NST)." Tamara Mariea described NST as a leading technique in structural and spinal therapy for lasting pain removal. Patients who undergo this type of therapy, according to Tamara Mariea, experience a speedy elimination of symptoms with an increase in energy and sense of well-being. "Often NST is referred to as contextual healing since it involves the mind and body as a whole," Tamara Mariea explained.
Tamara Mariea stated that part of her excitement in offering NST is that it is suitable for all ages from newborns to the elderly. In addition, continued Tamara Mariea, NST provides relief from a wide range of painful conditions from acute to chronic. "There are only forty-four certified providers of this leading technique in North America, and I am extremely pleased to announce that Internal Balance is one of the forty-four that can bring this type of therapy and relief to our clients," said Tamara Mariea.
Internal Balance Founder Tamara Mariea explained that Ms. Lefevers and Ms. Waugh bring with them advanced training in massage therapy. "Advanced techniques in adjunctive therapies always greatly facilitate the detoxification process," noted Tamara Mariea. Detoxification massage helps the body get rid of dietary toxins, normalize oxygen levels, and improve the function of colon drainage and other organs involved in the detoxification process. It can also enhance the immune system, remove blockages of the circulatory system, strengthen muscles, and toughen connective tissue. In addition, detoxification massage can also help prevent health conditions including fatigue, headaches, fibromyalgia, and other systemic dysfunctions that result from the presence of toxins in the body. Detoxification massage can even help bad breath, constipation, and weight loss. The key behind detoxification massage is movement. Detoxification massage therapists employ a series of rhythmic movements that stimulate your body. The massage movements include irregular and altering applications of pressure that gently compress and stretch your muscle tissues.
Through Internal Balance, Tamara Mariea has helped hundreds of clients ranging from children with autism to adults battling the onset of Alzheimer's disease. Tamara Mariea's research in personalized wellness care has been published by the Australasian College of Nutrition and Environmental Medicine. Known as the "Diva of Detox", Tamara Mariea has hosted a weekly Internet radio show. The podcasts from her show are on the Internal Balance website.
