32nd Annual Lido Yacht Expo Set for September 23-26

Fall's Big-Yacht Show is West's Largest Display of Luxury Motoryachts

2010-09-04
IRVINE, CA, September 04, 2010 (Press-News.org) The Lido Yacht Expo, California's "All Big-Yacht" fall boat show, returns once again to Lido Marina Village in Newport Beach, Calif., Sept. 23-26, for its 32nd annual showing.

Lido is a deluxe show of big vessels displayed in the water and marketed to upscale buyers. With multimillion-dollar vessels — some surpassing 100 feet in length — the Lido Yacht Expo has established a reputation as the West's ultimate big-yacht fall boat show. The event is geared specifically to the big boat market, featuring only vessels 26 feet and larger, and is a prime destination for boaters who long for luxury. Whether their dreamboat is a cruiseworthy motoryacht, a serious offshore sportfisher or a long-range trawler, shoppers will find it at the Lido Yacht Expo.

Boaters in search of the largest and best-equipped vessels will get their first look at brand-new 2011 models making their West Coast debuts. Show attendees can compare the unique features of a remarkable collection of the region's best ocean-tested brokerage vessels.
With amenities such as plasma televisions, ice-makers, air conditioning, washer and dryer units, multiple showers, whirlpool spas, granite countertops, exotic wood-trimmed interiors, lavish furnishings, satellite TV, Internet access and state-of-the-art navigation systems, many of the larger yachts take on the look of floating five-star hotels.

Show visitors will have the opportunity to explore more than 200,000 square feet of floating dock exhibits and boardwalk displays. The show will also feature a wide selection of 35- to 65-foot pleasurecraft including sportfishers, motoryachts, cruisers and more.

Southern California's top dealers are expected to exhibit more than 250 vessels, which will be open and available for showgoers' personal inspection. The latest electronics, marine accessories, gear and essential yacht services — including marine financing and insurance — will be available on site.

For four days, Sept. 23-26, the big boats will be in the water at the docks of Lido Marina Village — located midway between Los Angeles and San Diego, and just minutes from John Wayne Airport — at 3404 Via Oporto, on the corner of Via Lido and Newport Boulevard, one block south of Pacific Coast Highway.

Show hours are noon to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 23; 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 24 and Saturday, Sept. 25; and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 26. Admission is $12 for adults and free for children 12 and younger. Free parking and continuous free shuttle service will be provided Thursday and Friday at Newport Harbor Lutheran Church, 798 Dover Drive; and Saturday and Sunday at Hoag Health Center, 500 Superior Ave., south of 15th Street in Newport Beach.
