Yellowfin launches Mobile Business Intelligence Android App

Yellowfin, a leader in Mobile Business Intelligence (BI), has released a dedicated android application that gives users the ability to run and access Yellowfin reporting and analytics from their android device, anywhere, anytime.

2011-02-02
MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA, February 02, 2011 (Press-News.org) Yellowfin, a leader in Mobile Business Intelligence (BI), has released a dedicated android application that gives users the ability to run and access Yellowfin reporting and analytics from their android device, anywhere, anytime.

"Yellowfin's native android application allows you to interact with all your latest business data the same as you would from your PC," said Yellowfin CEO, Glen Rabie.

"Users have full access to Yellowfin's world-class BI features on-the-go. You're able to filter results, drill down and through data, comment on and email reports to make critical business decision in real-time."

Like Yellowfin's applications for the iPhone and iPad, the android application supports total device independence.

"Users can simply log into their existing Yellowfin account and gain instant access to their report content - there's no need to re-create content for the mobile platform, or repackage it for mobile distribution," said Rabie.

The native application supports Android multi-touch interface and allows users to toggle between table and chart mode.

Yellowfin's 100 per cent Web-based service also means that no data is stored on the mobile device. Combined with their mobile BI password protection system, security from unauthorized access to business data is assured, even if the device is lost or stolen.

Yellowfin is a global Business Intelligence (BI) software vendor headquartered and developed in Melbourne, Australia. BI refers to a broad range of computer software applications and tools used to report, analyze and present data in a range of formats.
