GAITHERSBURGH, MD, February 03, 2011

Building on a successful "Where Art Thou Bully?" event in January, Dr. Tekemia Dorsey of The Creative GRP, LLC is at it again, presenting a free bullying conference to parents, students and community groups in Montgomery County with support from Empowerment Ministries, LLC and the Montgomery County Recreation Department. The purpose of this bullying conference is to present strategies and knowledge to youth, parents, the community, and its leaders regarding ways to deal with those that bully others.

"Bullying is not just a concern in educational settings, but in all environments such as work, home, and the community. This remains another outreach initiative to bridge the issue surrounding bullying for everyone that remains affected,'" said Dr. Tekemia Dorsey of The Creative GRP, LLC. Dr. Dorsey is founder and director of The 2011 YER Initiative and has brought her years of experience as an educator and advocate for youth to the table in the creation of the initiative and planning its activities.

The 2011 YER Initiative is organized as a year-long slate of activities designed to empower, motivate, encourage, enlighten and energize youth and parents through knowledge, education and opportunity. The purpose of the "2011 Youth Empowerment RETREAT" (YER) Initiative is to address the chronic problems that youth and their parents have been facing and organizers are looking to go beyond the traditional to develop a new model that address issues of truly empowering our youth to take on leadership positions and then provide them with actual opportunities to apply their new-found knowledge.

Overwhelmed and humbled at the outpouring of support that she's received from the community. When asked what her message would be to the public, Dr. Dorsey replied, "I would like to thank you in advance for doing what you do! The outreach programs created by The Creative GRP, LLC are just another effort to reach the masses. The school systems, the community organizations, and leaders are doing wonderful work to address issues that affect our society."

The "Overcoming the Bully Syndrome!" conference will be held Saturday, February 26, 2011, 2PM-6PM at Upper County Community Center, 8201 Emory Grove Rd., Gaithersburg, MD 20877.
