National Television Director Don Barnhart Sr Releases The Jacks And The Jills A Novel About The Golden Days Of The Fifties

Don Barnhart Sr, most notable director of Saved By The Bell releases third novel about growing up in car clubs, cruising and the Golden Days of the fifties.

LAS VEGAS, NV, February 03, 2011

Successful television director, Don Barnhart, recently directed a four camera, four and a half hour live event entitled, "Meet the Nominees". This production, produced by the Director's Guild of America, and hosted by the incredible moderator, Jeremy Kagen (a prestigious director in his own right) assembled at the DGA theatre where the works of this years top directors of the five nominated films were thoroughly discussed in each and every minute detail. That evening at the awards ceremony, Tom Hooper won Best Director for 'The King's Speech'.

It's Mr. Barnhart's tenth year of shooting this event, and as usual, it went off without a hitch. Mr. Barnhart has also jumped into the world of a novelist. He has recently finished his third book entitled, 'Jacks and the Jills', a funny romp that takes the reader back into the 'Golden Days' of the fifties and won't let them go until they laugh themselves silly at the shenanigans of the story, or a fond remembrance at the ripe nostalgia that might even bring about a few tears.

This latest book is a fictional memoir based on a whole lotta truth and makes its location in the San Fernando Valley. It's a place Mr. Barnhart is quite familiar with since he grew up there, in those turbulent 'fifties', and lived to tell about it.

He loved hot rods, Bob's Big Boy hamburgers and rock 'n roll music and couldn't resist writing a story about it. It's a very funny account, but sometimes a little sad, while it probes into the psyche of kids growing up that are simply trying to find themselves.

Mr. Barnhart, director turned author is very, very excited about his latest book. And so are his two rambunctious Poodles since they like to eat well. Jack and Rosie, as you might have guessed, kind of run things around the Barnhart household, being the dog's collective egos are centered on success since Don uses them to bounce off plot ideas. It's no secret his beautiful wife, Kelly, has been known to shudder at that prospect.

Our Father's Sons, his first novel and Crooked Road Straight, the second, have just been released on Amazon, Kindle and all e-book outlets.
