Furia Rubel Promotes Amanda Walsh to Public Relations, Marketing and Social Media Coordinator

DOYLESTOWN, PA, February 04, 2011 (Press-News.org) Furia Rubel Communications, a full-service public relations and marketing agency located in Bucks County, Pa., recently announced the promotion of Amanda Walsh to Public Relations, Marketing and Social Media Coordinator.

Walsh joined the Furia Rubel team as an intern in 2008 after graduating magna cum laude from Temple University with a bachelor's degree in public relations. Her enthusiasm and curiosity for integrated communications and emerging technology trends led to the agency's decision to keep her on board as a blogger and social media strategist while she taught English in Madrid, Spain while honing her Spanish fluency.

Since returning from her travels abroad, Walsh has served as an integral part of the Furia Rubel team contributing her Web 2.0 expertise to growing Furia Rubel's social media presence and fostering relationships with local media and industry professionals. Her daily responsibilities include account management, media relations, event management, strategic planning, and Web 2.0 initiatives. An active social media user and blogger, she regularly posts on Furia Rubel's corporate blog, The PR Lawyer.

Walsh provides account support to a variety of Furia Rubel clients including Bencardino Excavating, Montgomery Mall, Curtin & Heefner LLP and Willig, Williams and Davidson, to name a few. She also spearheads Furia Rubel's pro bono support of local nonprofit organization Elephant's Eye Bucks County Artists Studio Tour. Walsh cultivated a relationship with BucksHappening.com to plan an upcoming arts education happy hour fundraiser, "Love of Bucks Arts," in support of the artist organization. During the 2010 holiday season, Walsh supported #BucksTweetDrive, an event organized entirely through Twitter to promote a holiday gift-giving event for underprivileged children. Through this event, gift donations were distributed to the Lower Bucks County Chapter of the American Red Cross. Walsh is an active member of Sociedad Hispana, a Spanish book club in Doylestown, Pa. She volunteers her time and social media expertise to growing the group's outreach via a bilingual blog. Walsh is also a member of Philadelphia Public Relations Association and Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, running, traveling and learning new languages. She currently resides in Bucks County, Pa.
