CORVALLIS, OR, February 06, 2011 (Press-News.org) Words From The Sea is a coastal letter art collection of natural seafoam shapes, delivered by the ocean, not formed by hand or digitally created. The alphabet photography series, available in wall art and greeting cards at http://www.WordsFromTheSea.com, includes several variations of every letter in the English language, as well as numbers, punctuation marks, hearts, animals and other shapes.
Building this collection of seafoam letters and shapes was a two-year photographic quest by the company's president, acclaimed photographer, David Paul Bayles. "It began as I walked on the beach with my wife Lea, celebrating her birthday. Suddenly a heart appeared at my feet in pure, white foam. It was a magical moment - a gift from the sea," said Bayles.
The online gallery, Words From The Sea, allows customers to create their own personalized word art and offers sets of greeting cards. A portion of all proceeds goes to ocean conservation and education.
In celebration of Valentine's Day, Words From The Sea is giving away an 18 x 24 LOVE gallery wrap and sets of LOVE greeting cards. To enter the drawing, simply like Words From The Sea on Facebook or sign up for their newsletter.
Bayles, his wife Lea Houston and their two business partners Chris and Karen Ray have a tremendous love and appreciation for the ocean and are deeply concerned about the many challenges the oceans face. "We wanted to find ways we could help the oceans of the world thrive. Sharing these delightful images with people all over the world, inspiring love and appreciation for the oceans while supporting ocean conservation, is truly a gift for us," explained Bayles.
