DARRINGTON, WA, February 09, 2011
The initial "Arts Healing Hearts" online original art sale at http://ihavefoundation.org , will help build IHAVE Foundation, http://ihavefoundation.org and it's first major project, "Camp Be Me". Camp Be Me, is a camp/retreat that is free to attend for survivors of child and domestic abuse. The proposed location of Camp Be Me, is in Snohomish County Washington, near Whitehorse Mountain.IHAVE Foundation is an extremely inclusive organization that works to end hate, violence, intolerance, bigotry and discrimination in America and abroad, by promoting the teaching of "Compassion by Example", to children, teens and adults. IHAVE Foundation stands united with people worldwide, in condemning hate, violence, discrimination and bigotry.
Lethom paintings have been collected by over four hundred people worldwide and the list of collectors includes Jenny Craig, founder of Jenny Craig Weight Loss Centers. Lethom has gifted over twenty paintings to be sold for IHAVE Foundation and the Camp be Me, project.
A survivor of domestic torture and abuse, Lethom created major projects which are still benefiting the anti-hate and anti-violence movement, in America and internationally. The ensuing projects have raised over one million dollars in the past twelve years, minimum.
But disorders from torture and abuse as a child, left bringing the projects to fruition, by other human rights activists including Sir Elton John and Judy Shepard, mother of Wyoming slain gay college student, Matthew Shepard, the only way they could be completed. To avoid anyone finding out about his disorders/mental illnesses and the stigma attached, Lethom stopped therapies and treatments. "I self imploded, self mutilated and ended up hospitalized. We need to end hate, violence, discrimination and bigotry by teaching compassion, by example, one heart at a time. If you need help, reach out and demand it. If you are ill from what was done to you, it's not your fault .Never stop treatments or therapies on your own. If you fall, stand back up, make amends if need be and don't stop fighting to make the world a better place, after you are gone".
IHAVE Foundation is working with everyday people, celebrities and other high profile people who want to end hate and violence in the world, by teaching compassion by example.
