SoftRock Employees to Celebrate Valentine's Day by Donating Blood

Orlando software company SoftRock will host two blood mobiles on Monday, Feb. 14th for employees to put their hearts into this Valentine's Day.

ORLANDO, FL, February 13, 2011

The employees of local software development company SoftRock will welcome the Big Red Bus to its offices at 1701 Park Center Drive this Valentine's Day from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

SoftRock employees were looking for a way to share Valentine's Day with the community and to make the holiday mean more than just chocolates and flowers to its nearly 300 employees. The staff has signed up in droves, and turnout has been so high that a second bus was called for to handle the demand.

The Big Red Bus is operated by Florida's Blood Centers, whose mission is to provide a safe and adequate blood supply to state hospitals, to support world-class collaborative medical research into human disease and to improve the quality of life for its employees, partners, donors and community. Founded in 1942, Florida's Blood Centers is one of the largest blood centers in Florida and the sole supplier of blood to more than 70 hospitals and health care facilities throughout the state.

As a bonus, all donors will be receiving a free t-shirt and a mini physical to ensure that they're in the best of health for this, and many more Valentine's Days to come.

SoftRock is deeply committed to the community that supports its operations. The company is acutely aware that without the Central Florida community that it would not be as successful as it is today.

About SoftRock: Founded in 1984 as a software company that designed user friendly interfaces and robust processing systems, the company soon won several military contracts to provide software for several high-level projects. For this work the company was vetted by the Defense Department and awarded secret clearance. SoftRock, Inc. is a privately held company headquartered in Orlando, but with offices in Egypt and India.
