GREENVILLE, SC, February 15, 2011 (Press-News.org) This is the fifth year for the series that features four award winning documentaries that highlight environmental and agricultural issues facing our planet. Each screening will take place at the Upcountry History Museum and refreshments will be provided prior to the show.
Addison Homes will sponsor the fourth film in the series titled The End of the Line on February 22, 2011 from 5:30-8:30. Food will be provided by American Grocery. This documentary had its world premier at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival and is the first major feature documentary to reveal the impact over fishing has on our oceans and its global consequences. It examines the imminent extinction of bluefin tuna, brought on by increasing western demand for sushi; the impact on marine life resulting in huge overpopulation of jellyfish; and the implications of a future with no fish.
Filmed across the world from the Straits of Gibraltar to the coasts of Senegal and Alaska to the Tokyo fish market featuring top scientists, indigenous fishermen and fisheries enforcement officials, The End of the Line is a wake-up call to the world.
