Lori Kerch Elected to Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants Board of Directors
She is among four new board members

The Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA), has announced that Lori B. Kerch, CPA has been elected as a new member of its board of directors for the 2010-2011 season. The announcement was made by MACPA President and CEO Peggy Dzierzawski, CAE.Kerch previously served as controller at Bloomfield Hills-based gloStream, Inc. In this position, her main role consisted of taking the company from a start-up operation to a second stage company. Prior to joining gloStream, Inc., Kerch served as a manager of accounting consulting and tax at Rehmann in Farmington Hills and as controller at Evans Distribution Systems in Melvindale.
In addition to her new position with the MACPA, she is the chair of the organization's Membership Task Force and serves on the New Professionals Task Force and the Management Information and Business Show Task Force. She is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Detroit Economic Club and the Detroit Regional Chamber/Fusion.
A graduate of Oakland University, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Kerch resides in Wolverine Lake.
Other officers appointed to the MACPA Board of Directors include John Pridnia, Muskegon, chair-elect; Ramona H. Pearson, Detroit, treasurer; Paul Steih, Ann Arbor, secretary; Jonathan D. Anibal, Commerce Township, immediate past chair; and Thomas H. Beard, Clinton Township, past chair. Newly elected to the MACPA Board of Directors are David Echelbarger, Alto; Mark Faulkner, BBA, MST, CPA, Canton; and Gary L. Riedlinger, CPA, PFS, Essexville.
