Copeland Furniture started out in the early 1970's with a vision to create a family owned and operated business manufacturing wood products from natural hardwoods. Initially they began by making cider presses for home and small scale orchard use. Soon the designs would evolve into butcher-block, kitchen and Adirondack style porch furniture. Consequently Copeland's primary market would begin with baby-boomers who found the furniture to be both functional and affordable for their homes.

Indeed the company would experience periods of growth and as such went from a small one man operation to eventually moving into a state-of-the-art facility located in Bradford, VT.
