SOMERVILLE, NJ, February 17, 2011 (Press-News.org) "Understanding and Responding to Behavioral Difficulties and Rage Behaviors in Children and Adolescents" is the next installment the New Jersey Center for Tourette Syndrome's Wednesday Webinar series. Shawn Ewbank, Psy.D. argues that behavioral difficulties in children and teens can be best understood as skills deficits. Reducing these kinds of problems often requires proactive response plans that seek to build skills over time; and strategies for making these plans will be outlined in the presentation.
Dr. Ewbank is a therapist with over nine years of experience working in behavioral-health settings. In addition to working as a therapist in a private practice; he provides diagnostic evaluations, psychotherapy and clinical supervision at the Tourette Syndrome Clinic at Rutgers University. His areas of expertise include the assessment and treatment of Tic Disorders, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, anxiety and depressive disorders and behavioral difficulties (including episodes of rage).
NJCTS Wednesday Webinars begin at 7:30 p.m. ET and will include a 30 minute presentation and a 30 minute question and answer period. Professional development credits will be offered upon completion of the exit survey. You will receive them by mail at least one week after the Webinar.
